"Today I don't feel like doing anything..."

This song is included in my mental summer soundtrack. I am totally taking to heart this whole "term break" thing -- haven't done anything productive these past few weeks aside from reading The Hunger Games. Severely enjoying myself, though, 'cause in the past weeks, I've seen The Avengers twice, bummed around with friends, went on an outing with my Pops loves, and filled my brain with uselessly interesting Robert Downey Jr. facts. *coughIneedhelpcough*

Sooooo. Avengers was better the second time around. The cinema where we watched it at had a better sound system so that was awesome! I got to hear all the snarky Stark comments and all the other witty banter they threw around. I just had an Iron Man marathon yesterday and I'm pumped to watch The Avengers again! But I think I'd have to rewatch the other Avengers' movies first. I'mma go ahead and do that later. LOL.

Anyway, here's an overview of the bumming around with friends I was talking about earlier:

POPS OUTING (April 27 - 29)

... was awesome! I'm not really a beach person but it was alright because I got to spend time with my loves. <3 Sigay also taught us how to play Monopoly Deal. I got to win once. I feel extra smart now. LOL.

I was TOO lazy that I didn't even bother to take pictures while we were at the beach. Here are some of the pictures I stole, though. Thanks to Diana, Gabo, Kris, JL, and Sigay. :)

Beach FAIL! Watching the latest episode of New Girl with Eds & Trish :))

Taboo!

Yay beach pic #1!

Yay beach pic # 2!

Yay beach pic FAIL! :))

Yay beach pic with Sir Eli and his girlfriend + Trish and Rona! :D

BONFIRE! (cameo by Charlie Fitzmunkey)

Monopoly Deal -- I'm obviously losing. :))
RANDOM HANGOUTS

Last Friday, I watched The Avengers with Trish and Queenie, then met up with Efren (LONG TIME NO SEE!) afterwards. It was brief. Like 10 minutes. After 4 whole years. Just. What. :)) When he left, FC came by and we all hung out like clique-ish people, yay! :D

Yesterday, we had another clique-ish bonding at Soderno. Winner winner (overpriced) longganisa dinner! XD We saw Nica pass by with her mom, it was so funny! They had already passed our table and we were unsure whether to call her out or not, but we ended up doing so, anyway, in pseudo-hushed voices. Nica found it creepy. :)) Ahh, fun times!

Yay!

Right now, I am currently just obsessing over RDJ (doh). Don't believe me? Ask the dishes! This is my current FB cover photo:

And this is how my iPod looks like:

I've also watched a million variations of this video:

Chyeah. It's totally happening.

I'm sorry for wasting your time with this random post, guys. School will be starting again in 2 weeks, I'll have a life again soon. Ish. XD In the meantime, I hope you're all doing well! You should totez tell me about your current fanboy/girl-ings! (I won't say no to a spazz-fest over The Avengers either, LOL!)

The Avengers was so avengers!

FC and I have this new thing where we replace the word AWESOME with AVENGERS because, duh, AVENGERS = AWESOME. (Whoever thinks otherwise -- STFU YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID!) And like what Nica said, GREAT JOB, JOSS WHEDON!

Before anything else, please don't think I'm going to write a review about it. I'm not. Because I don't think my words can ever give justice to what I just saw. But if you want to view a serious one, I suggest you read the review that Dadaf wrote

Bullet points, though...

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

"The summer's not hot without you..."

... no, actually, I take that back. It's hot with or without you.

Can I just point out that it's already 7:39 PM and my desktop weather gadget says that the Philippines' current temperature is:

OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING. D:

Anyway, aside from my current feeling of being baked to perfection, I'm writing because Dadaf's recent entry about this sweltering season got me daydreaming of places I could be in right now, because like her, I dislike the heat. BUT I also dislike rain. Especially when I'm outdoors. Rain is only good when I'm indoors, lying on my bed, watching my favorite episodes or reading a good book. But that's another story altogether.

I'm totally bummed out right now. The Avengers is out in cinemas and I'm sitting here in my 35 degrees Celsius living room, doing nothing substantial, hoping someone would kidnap me and treat me to see the perfection that is Robert Downey Jr. *le sigh* It doesn't help that I'm going through a phase at the moment wherein I wish I was a youngin again (been singing John Mayer's 83 since yesterday). I miss my pre-college days, where I had my (almost) annual trip to Los Angeles to look forward to every end of March. I never had to worry about getting fried to death. And on the years that I did spend summer in my country, back then, the summer temp didn't go up this high! I HATE GLOBAL WARMING. *cries*

I just want to be back in Disneyland and curse the Grizzly River Run ride for drenching us with water, thus making us freeze to death. :(

I just want to be back in New York, wearing my trenchcoat and pretending that I'm a Constance Billard girl, hanging around the steps of The Met. Or, you know, take the overpriced ferry ride to Liberty Island to laugh at the people taking tourist-y photos in front of Lady Liberty.

LOL! (Got this from Facebook)

Ugh I dunno. I just want to get out of here. I wish I could learn to love the beach but I've never been the outdoorsy type. I also don't like natural bodies of water where I know there's a creepy crawler lurking just inches away. Brr. So envious of Dadaf and their upcoming trip to the Land of Tea and Harry Potter. I so badly want to go someplace cold! Plus points 'cause they're visiting the studio where my most favorite actors in the world filmed for 10 whole years.

Le sigh. Someday. Gotta battle the heat for now. I wish I could go to Hawaii.

\

This is such a bratty entry, I'm sorry. The heat is driving me insane. :( Lemme just ask you then, what's your dream summer destination?! (Please don't say Boracay.)

Enter Abby v. 24 Beta

New Features:
50 times more intolerant to BS and 50 times less likely to settle.

Things have been happening behind the scenes lately. Some, confusing and some just plain annoying that I had to make a conscious effort to revamp, reorganize, regroup and basically come up with a newer version of myself. I don't like what I've allowed myself to turn into in this one aspect of my life and I'm glad I got to bop myself in the head before things got worse. I got to share this with my cousin last week and she said something along the lines of, "Parang it's an insult to you." She can be really wise sometimes. My personal Luna Lovegood. Haha!

Anyway, aside from that, life has been pretty great! In the past week, I've gone out a bunch of times with my most favorite people, been blessed through my participation in activities with my new charismatic community, went for (and passed) a job interview, and been generally reminded of just how God truly loves me when 1) CT scan results came back last Thursday and 2) when I saw just how much I've come out of my shell in the past 6 months.

Lemme break it down for you (whuuuuut).

FAVORITE PEOPLE: Self-explanatory. We had a bonding session over brunch last Saturday and I learned a lot of interesting stuff (Dadaf thinks "interesting" is an understatement, though, haha)!

CHARISMATIC COMMUNITY: I've been part of this Catholic Charismatic Community for a month now and each meeting has been such a blessing so far. Every time I get home from worship, I always feel like a big load has been lifted off my shoulders, it's crazy! Indeed, anyone who is weary and tired will be given rest in Him. :)

JOB INTERVIEW: I went to an interview at Ortigas last Friday (bringing my visit count to that area up to 4 in this week alone! #southerner) and, uhh, passed it. Not sure if I'm going to take it, though, 'cause the work hours are a bit arduous so...

CT SCAN: I've been in remish (Happy Endings is rubbing off on me, I swear!) for 1 and 1/2 years now, and thanks to all your prayers, I got good news last Thursday! Everything's clear and the calcified nodes from before have gone down from 12mm to 8mm and that's just SPECTACULAR!!! Gosh. I've been a bit of a wreck on the days leading to the CT scan 'cause I felt like I hadn't taken care of myself as much as I should have in the past 2 months. Add that to the fact that I've been experiencing pains on my left underarm the past 2 weeks (that's kind of a sensitive area when it comes to my illness so imagine just how freaked out I was). I told my doctor about it and he said it was probably just a broken vessel and I should just take painkillers. Phew. It's gone now. Didn't even have to take meds. LOL. But anyway, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for all your prayers (to FC, for sending an Iris message to Zeus, hehe). Your care really means a lot. I still stand by what I said before -- you guys are the reason why I'm still here. :) ♥

COMING OUT OF LE SHELL: I found this in my email inbox yesterday...

Which then led me to post this on Facebook...

And since Filipinos are awesome voters (and I have fantastic family and friends + an amazing Potter community), I got a whopping 140 likes on the first few hours alone. So if I were to assume that each of those people voted for me 10 times, I'd already have 1400 votes and I'd be in the running to become America's Next Top Model for le Hogwarts Choir? :D

I've been refreshing my page every few minutes today and it's crazy how the likes keep going up! I'm already on 351 likes and 22 tweets as of writing and just. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING, MY HEART IS GOING TO EXPLODE SOON.

I also got to read this from a stranger who shared my link:

Abby Sanchez is an awesome singer. She should make it in the Hogwarts Choir. She sang 'Part of That World' (Theme from The Little Mermaid) extraordinarily beautiful. God Bless Abby. She should pursue her singing career. She's got talent!

Me right now. I can't even.

Comments like those really mean a lot to me 'cause I've always found it hard to believe in my "talents". Whenever people I know compliment me, I feel like they're just being nice. I know it's quite stupid but meh. I'm yet to completely get over that weakness of mine. </vulnerable moment>

So yes. THANK YOU! To all those who have voted/shared/liked/tweeted so far, I love you all, from the very bottom of my heart to the top of my spleen! I hope you could continue voting for me and sharing the link to your friends! Here it is again. :)

P.S. I said that 2012 would be God's year. I wonder why He's making it mine as well.
